Who will benefit from this short course:

The main objective of this course is to lay a foundation in the theory of sliding mode control covering a large spectrum of recent research in this area including continuous-time, discrete-time , higher order sliding modes, sliding mode observers and differentiator as well as the various applications of this powerful design technique. The course will also introduce the most innovative ideas in this field which will benefit researchers and academicians

Short course presenter:

Professor Bijnan Bandyopadhyay is a professor in the Systems & Control Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai India. Professor Bandyopadhyay’s field of interest includes large scale systems, nuclear reactor control, space launch vehicles (stability and control) and gas turbines (stability and control). He has received numerous awards including the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Germany in 1995 and the UK India Education Research and Initiative (UKIERI) Major Award in 2007.
